Gulf Shores is a beachside vacation spot located on the south coast of Texas in an area sometimes called the "coastal bend". It is located on Mustang Island which is a barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico and is closer to the beach than any other resort in the area. It is located between Port Aransas and Corpus Christi and is accessible by causeway from the south and by car ferry from the north. Mustang Island is just north of Padre Island.
Port Aransas, referred to as "Port A" by the locals, is among the top sport fishing spots in the world and Port A still maintains an atmosphere of a small fishing village. Fishing includes deep sea fishing, shore fishing, jetty fishing, and surf fishing. Other popular activities of our guests include: swimming, relaxing by the beach, shelling, beachcombing, hiking, dining at many area restaurants, biking on the beach, horseback riding on the beach, gambling on the Texas Treasure, and bird watching. Gulf Shores has a total of 52 condo units and about 33 are available to rent. This site will have detailed pictures of three of the units. These rental units are individually owned, furnished, and maintained. All three of these units were rated a "9" or a "10" by an independent panel of renters and this makes these units among the elite at Gulf Shores and gives you an assurance of receiving quality accommodations. By going to other sections of this website, you will be able to see the insides of all three of these units.
Another key attribute of Gulf Shores is it is located in the "wide open spaces" which is our way of saying our island is sparsely populated and allows one to get close to nature.
Gulf Shores also has two tennis courts, shuffleboard, large pool, and hot tub. There is also a "BBQ Shack" on the property where guests can barbeque and/or smoke meats.
